Tim WinklerI have built my career around retailing ideas.

I have played a lead role in planning, coordinating, managing and delivering marketing and communication strategies for a range of government and non-government organisations over the past 15 years, including serving five years as Director of Marketing at Monash University. I have also won a range of awards and am regularly invited to speak on marketing and innovation at conferences both nationally and internationally.

I approach each job for Twig in the same way – looking at opportunities to insert ideas and opportunities into a whole range of materials in a strategic way. So that clients are proud of the outcome – and audiences remember the message.

My general advice: never believe any marketer who says they have all the answers for your organisation. Look instead for someone who will listen to your challenges and then come up with a practical, evidence-based plan, so you have confidence the campaign will deliver clear returns on your investment.

Jacqui Francis

Research consultant

Synthesising latest research and trends is helpful for any organisation – from one-person start-ups to huge organisations. I examine existing research across a wide range of sectors to provide clients with an overview of opportunities, threats and trends to be aware of.

I also help run focus groups and coordinate our in-house market research.

I worked as a primary teacher for well over a decade and have completed a Master of Education degree. I recently chose to move from the front of the classroom to the back and am a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, examining ways to effective apply positive psychology in the classroom to improve education outcomes and student wellbeing.
